Gifting with flying colors

As you know, I often find gift inspiration from photos of interiors. In the photos from Shelton, Mindel & Associates....if you haven't seen their amazing work, look here, it's all about the groups of colors. Just like in events, a gift can be centered around a theme. Why not theme your gift around color? Put together several vases and containers in a friend's favorite color. Just putting a group together makes a strong impact and in using their favorite color, you've given the gift meaning.

This reminded me of one of my most successful gifts. A friend of mine is married to a professional photographer. He agreed to do a photo shoot of my daughter & I had his price list. When it came right down to it, he wouldn't let me pay. His favorite color is yellow and flavor is raspberry. You would not believe all the gourmet yellow and/or raspberry treats I found for his gift basket. It was a hit.
